The Power of Darth Vader Penetrates through the Galaxy to Us.
Darth Vader several times made us aware through the dark force that we were playing with fire and thwarted our efforts to print the Darth Vader Lightsaber. The biggest problem we encountered during printing was with the Pommel Blocks, which are prepared in the downloaded file and print vertically. These parts are supported by a raft and print vertically for the best surface appearance. Unfortunately, due to the small contact area with the base, these parts broke off several times, resulting in spaghetti. We found it best to place them as close to each other as possible and use a brim instead of a raft. Then we printed these parts for Darth Vader Lightsaber without problems.
The chosen filament, which I had not used for the last 2 years, gave us a bit of trouble. When I put the filament on ice, I had a reason for it. Even though it is classic PLA and I have never had a problem with adhesion when printing on BambuLabs PEI Plate... The print came off the base easily when using 3DLac spray, but this filament stuck like a devil and the base of all parts from the silver silk filament tore and could not be separated from the base without damage... The filament sticks to the base like a devil. Therefore, I ordered a new one for testing, which I will also mention at the bottom of the page. The other parts went to print well, I just set the speed of the outer perimeters to 35mm/sec.
We glued all the parts together using super glue with a spray activator.
